PRS-505 Run OpenInkpot
NOTE: This is not a user-oriented instructions. You'll get NFS, ssh and nothing else: no SD, no power management, no keys, no GUI.
- Create OI development chroot
- Install the oi-prs505-build-firmware package in chroot
- Run build-prs505
- Prepare a clean SD card with VFAT
- Make a directory /srv/nfs/openinkpot-root on your PC and export it via NFS
- Setup usb0 network interface autoconfiguration
- Unpack the oi-sony-prs505-nfsroot-*-sd-loader.tar.bz2 archive to root of the SD card
- Unpack the oi-sony-prs505-nfsroot-*.tar.bz2 archive to /srv/nfs/openinkpot-root/
- Insert SD card to device
- When menu appeared, push "3" key and immediately connect a USB cable to PC and bookreader
- Wait for 15-30 seconds (on first boot this time will be greater) and try to login over SSH: ssh root@192.168.111.1 (password: zxc)
- Start to hack the device
