System-wide keyboard

We should investigate possibility to add some kind of keyboard (accord, matrix, MobileQWERTY - there are many of them).

Considering the lack of a keyboard but the availability of a numeric key pad, a T9 kind of input system seems most appropiate. There are some open source, Linux based versions out there. Here is a link:  http://koti.mbnet.fi/korsu/ft.html

There are keyboards implemented in apps, but this is non-scalable and duplication of efforts. We need a system-wide keyboard.
